Unspoken: Violence Against LGBTQIA+ People of Color | Conversations on Race

Dr. Jacobson López will speak to a topic that is widely occurring yet poorly understood and ignored: violence against LGBTQIA+ People of Color. He will speak about his own research and practice experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals of color who have experienced sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and discrimination. He will address the ways in which racism, homophobia, and transphobia affect the lives of LGBTQIA+ people of color. He will speak about his research with gay Black and Latino men, Ghanaian MSM, and LGBTQIA+ sexual assault survivors of color.
